One sunny afternoon as
I was watching over the garden from the first floor and admiring the chickens
and rabbits that I love very much, something unusual happened.
Before
this could happen the chickens were busy pecking the ground in search of food
while the rabbits were feasting over the cauliflower leaves that were given
them. A few rabbits were fighting among themselves to get the leaves that were
fresh and juicy. All occupied with feeding and fighting suddenly with their
ears raised high up in the air they paused. It was as though somebody had said
‘freeze’, the way would do while playing when we were little. Before I could
grasp the situation the rabbits were gone and the hens were running
helter-skelter. A dog had entered the garden. The chickens called out for help
with their loud crowing. I along with another friend of mine ran to chase the
dog away. The situation was under control and than I laughed aloud as I saw a
few of the rabbits pocking their heads out of the hutches to see if all was
well.
Moral: Even when you’re busy with something
important be aware of what happening around you. It way cost you your life.
